2022 Holiday Kids Gift Guide

2022 holiday kids gift guide

The holiday season is around the corner. If your students’ caregivers are anything like mine were, I was frequently asked for a kids gift guide. As a teacher, we have so much rich knowledge of child development and see their children in a different way. It makes sense that caregivers would ask teachers for their recommendations. If you’re really lucky, some caregivers might also ask you for a classroom wish list!

2021 Kids Gift Guide

So here it is! My kids gift guide for 2022, which can also be used as a classroom wish list. I hope you’re inspired by my wide variety of screen-free, kid-friendly ideas for the families of your students. I can vouch for ALL of these toys and items, as I have them in my home! Each of these companies graciously gifted me these items so I could trial them in order to give an honest review and recommendation. Enjoy!

Green Toys – Loader Truck

I love this truck because of the communication opportunities it allows for! The truck can go “fast” and “slow”. The arm on the loader can go “up” and “down”, “lift” and “lower”, and “scoop”. This toy is made from recycled plastic and is SUPER durable.

Green Toys – Mickey Mouse Submarine

This submarine is extra motivating because Mickey Mouse is the driver! It’s perfect for water play or bath time, and is very easy to clean. Like all Green Toys toys, it is made from recycled plastic and is SUPER durable.

Big Future Toys – Earthtiles Colors

There are lots of magnet blocks on the market, but I love Big Future Toys Earthtiles because they’re so quality made from sustainable wood. This set comes with 100 tiles in a variety of colors. These are perfect for toddlers through elementary age children. Kids can engage in independent and group play with these imaginative blocks.

KeepGoing First Aid – Go Kit

Treat skinned knees, stings, cuts, minor burns, ticks, blisters, nosebleeds, splinters, and more on-the-go. You can toss this into a backpack or diaper bag and literally be prepared for anything from chapped lips to a tick! Use the link for 10% off your order.

Lovevery – Developmental Play Kits

PlayKits are designed for specific developmental ranges with toys, activity cards, books, and more. The kits range from ages 0-4 and are perfectly designed to target the developmental milestones children are tackling at each stage. We have used Lovevery for about 1 year with our toddler daughter, Davis. So many of the toys are PERFECT for her age when the kit arrives, but they also don’t run out of style. The puzzles, figurines, books, and other quality toys are still in rotation and used daily. They are perfectly transferrable to classroom use, too!

Shylero – Utility Bag

This Shylero Utility Bag is the perfect go-to duffel for caregivers. It’s water resistant so it can be taken to the pool, swim lessons, or carry beverages. It is sturdy, provides some padding inside, and is filled with pockets on the inside and outside. Get 15% off using the code BEHAVIOR.

Yoto – Yoto Player

The Yoto player truly does it all. This screen free device is designed for kids 3-12 and plays books, songs, sounds, and more. It comes with customizable cards to create your own, and is so user friendly that even your toddler can operate it independently. This would be such a fun literacy center, free choice activity, or even a cool down strategy for students.

Omi and Friendz – Omi the Meditation Elephant

Comfort meets function with this precious Omi The Meditation Elephant toy. Kids press its paws and ears to hear a variety of guided meditations, sounds, and calming tracks. This supports a child’s emotion regulation and is a great introduction to coping skills and mindfulness.
